The District Administration Office, Parsa has decided to lift the prohibitory order imposed in Birgunj from 7 am today.

The meeting of the district security committee presided over by its coordinator and Chief District Officer Ganesh Aryal took the decision to revoke the order effective for four days, reasoning that the peace and security situation was growing normal.

Superintendent of Police in Parsa, Gautam Mishra, informed that the situation in Birgunj is limping back to  normalcy.

Earlier, the district administration was forced to clamp a curfew owing to the tense situation erupted after a clash between two communities over the procession carried out on the Hanuman Jayanti.
