A person died after being attacked by a khukuri at Imadole in Lalitpur on Wednesday.

The deceased has been identified as Ripesh Khati (30) of Ramechhap and currently residing in Lalitpur.

According to SSP Shayam Krishna Adhikari, Chief at the District Police Range, Lalitpur, Suman Rasayeli (25) has been arrested for his alleged involvement in the attack.

He said that Rasayeli attacked Khati with the sharp weapon following a minor dispute at around 11 pm yesterday.

SSP Adhikari said that Khati had deep cuts in his neck and other parts of the body.

They are both friends.

According to a preliminary investigation, Rasayeli had called Khati to meet him at night when he knew that he had been teasing a woman.

Rasayeli attacked Khati soon after he came to meet him.

Further investigation into the incident is underway, said SSP Adhikari.
