"First International Saga Dawa Running Festival and Himalayan Art Conference 2025" will be held in Solukhumbu on May 10-18 to promote cultural heritage including Himalayan art.
Thekchen Pema Choling Gonpa of Solkhumbu is organizing the program.
Annapurna Media Network will be the media partner of the International Saga Dawa Running Festival and the Himalayan Art Conference.
An agreement was signed amidst a function organized at the Tinkune-based headquarters of Annapurna Media Network on Monday.
Annapurna Media Network General Manager Manoj Basnet, Senior Marketing Manager Pramila Rajak and Tenzing Sherpa, Chairman of Thekchen Pema Choling Gonpa, Secretary Nigma Tendup Sherpa signed the agreement.
According to Tenzing Sherpa, there will be the running competition of 42 km, 21 km, 10 km, 7.5 km and 3 km on the lap of Mt Everest.
The event to be held on Buddha Jayanti will include an exhibition of Himalayan art, an exhibition of art and cultural costumes, a fair with local food dishes and an art competition along with cultural programs.
