President offers tika and jamara to PM Oli among distinguished persons
On the occasion of the Bijaya Dashami festival, President Ramchandra Paudel offered tika and jamara to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, as the 'prasad' or blessings of goddess Nawa Durga.
The President gave tika and jamara to the VVIPs after 3.00pm at the Office of the President, Shital Niwas, today. The Head of State gave Dashain tika and jamara to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Urban Development, Prakash Man Singh, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Badri Prasad Pandey, Minister of State for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Kanchharam Tamang and lawmaker Sapana Rajbhandari, among other distinguished persons, the President's Private Secretariat said. Similarly, Chief Commissioner of the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) Prem Kumar Rai, National Women Commission Chair Kamala Kumari Parajuli, Mayor of Lalitpur Metropolitan City Chiribabu Maharjan, Chief of the Army Staff Ashok Sigdel, Inspector General of Nepal Police Basanta Bahadur Kunwar and Chief of the National Investigation Department, Hutaraj Thapa, among other officials, received tika and jamara from President Paudel. ---
