Former state minister Ram Chandra Raya has been murdered.

A group of unidentified persons murdered Raya by using a sharp weapon at Ratanpur in Chandranagar Rural Municipality-1 last night, the District Police Office, Sarlahi informed.

Though his house is in Malangwa Municipality-4, he often comes to Ratanpur.

Police said that they are searching for the perpetrators.
