Gandaki Chief Minister Pandey wins vote of confidence
Gandaki Province Chief Minister Surendra Raj Pandey has secured a vote of confidence in the provincial assembly on Friday.
Pandey secured 31 votes while 28 votes were cast against the vote of confidence motion.
A total of 59 Province Assembly members were present in the meeting.
Speaker Krishna Prasad Dhital announced that Pandey secured a vote of confidence.
He was appointed as the chief minister as a leader of the largest party in accordance with Article 168 (3) of the Constitution of Nepal.
Nepali Congress, Rastriya Prajatantra Party, Nepal Socialist Party and independent lawmakers cast their votes in favor of Pandey.
