It has been revealed that Sushma Lama was murdered for rejecting the love proposal.

The Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office informed about the incident by organizing a press conference on Sunday.

Lama of Tarebhir, Gokarneshwor Municipality-3, Kathmandu was found buried in the jungle of Tarebhir.

Police have arrested Rupendra Lama (21), Sushma's neighbor, for his alleged involvement in the incident.

According to a preliminary investigation, Rupendra brutally murdered Sushma.

DSP Anil Ghimire of the Crime Investigation Office said that Lama had a one-sided love for Sushma and murdered her after repeatedly rejecting his love proposal.

Sushma (18), who had left home saying she was going to college on February 5, went out of contact since then.

Her family filed a missing complaint with the Metropolitan Police Cricle, Boudha on March 8.

While searching, police found the body of Lama buried at Tarebhir in Gokarneshwor-3 on March 9.
