Nepse surges by 54. 54 points on Tuesday

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) gained 54. 54 points to close at 2, 175. 17 points on Tuesday.

Similarly, the sensitive index surged by 9. 26 points to close at 397. 43 points.

A total of 23,370,053-unit shares of 304 companies were traded for Rs 8. 02 billion.

Meanwhile, Butwal Power Company Limited, United Modi Hydropower Ltd, Himalayan Power Partner Ltd, NRN Infrastructure and Development Limited  and Nepal Warehousing Company Limited were the top gainers today, with their price surging by 10. 00 percent.

Likewise, Jyoti Bikash Bank Bond 2087 was the top loser as its price fell by 9. 99 percent.

At the end of the day, total market capitalization stood at Rs 1. 18 trillion.
