Two inmates escaped from Birgunj juvenile center nabbed in India
Police have arrested the inmates who escaped from a juvenile center in Birta of Birgunj-4 two days ago.
SP Komal Shahi, Chief at the District Police Office, Parsa, said that Amarkant Thakur of Sarlahi and Pandav Yadav of Saptari, who escaped from the reform center at around 2 am on Friday by cutting the fence wire, were apprehended from different places of the border area of Sarlahi and Siraha.
Shah said that a separate police team deployed from the District Police Office, Parsa under the command of Inspector Dawa Sherpa and Sub-Inspector Binod Kafle nabbed one on Saturday night and another at around 10 am on Sunday.
According to a source, one was arrested from Sitamadi and another from Madhuwani of Bihar.
A team from the District Police Office, Parsa had left for India to search for the duo after they were seen heading towards Raxual on foot in the CCTV camera.
The center is holding a total of 126 prisoners.
Three police personnel and 11 inmates were injured when a clash broke out between two groups at the juvenile center on September 12.
