The Nepal Medical Association, Gandaki has shut down all medical services except emergency services in all the hospitals of Pokhara on Wednesday in protest against the attack on health workers at Manipal Hospital.

The Nepal Medical Association, Gandaki on Tuesday through a press release had called on hospitals throughout Gandaki Province to halt all services except emergency citing that the doctors are being attacked one after the other.

The Nepal Medical Association had expressed its solidarity to the call.

All services except emergency services are closed at the Pokhara Academy of Health Sciences, the largest health facility in Gandaki province, today, at the call of the Association, said the Hospital Director Bharat Khattri.

Patients who have come from rural and far-flung areas are facing inconvenience due to the closure of the health services,
