Nembang’s body brought to party headquarters for final tributes

Constituent Assembly Chairman and CPN-UML Vice-Chairman Subash Nembang’s body has been brought to the party headquarters in Chyasal, Lalitpur for final tributes.

The mortal remains of Nembang were brought to the party headquarters from Maharajgunj-based Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) this afternoon.

The party said that the body of Nembang will be kept at the party headquarters in Chyasal the whole day today for final tributes.

The UML leader, who was rushed to the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital at 1 :30 am after suffering a heart attack, breathed his last in the course of treatment.

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli, Speaker Devraj Ghimire and National Assembly Chairman Ganesh Timilsina among others had reached the hospital to take stock of his health.

The government has decided to cremate Nembang with state honors.

An emergency Cabinet meeting held on Tuesday morning has also decided to give a public holiday on the day of his cremation.

The last rites of Nembang will be performed after his sons, who are living abroad, come to Nepal.
