UML’s all programs postponed, Nembang’s mortal remains to be kept at party office for final tributes

The CPN-UML has postponed all the programs of the party.

Acting General Secretary Pradeep Gyawali said that all the programs of the UML have been postponed until further notice after the death of UML Vice-Chairman and Parliamentary Party deputy leader Subash Chandra Nembang at 1:40 am today.

He said that the mortal remains of Nembang will be kept at the Tulsilal Smriti Hall, Party Central Office, Chyasal, Lalitpur for final tributes after 9 am today.

“We are deeply saddened to inform you about the death of our party Vice-Chairman, Constituent Assembly Chairman and former Speaker of the House of Representatives Subash Chandra Nembang. The hospital has informed us that Nembang, our Parliamentary Party deputy leader and a member of the House of Representatives who was elected from Ilam-2, died of a heart attack during the course of treatment at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital at 1:40 am today. All the programs of the party have been put off until further notice at this sad moment,” Gyawali said.

Currently, UML leaders are in the hospital. They are preparing to take the mortal remains of Nembang to Chyasal.

It has been learnt that his last rites will be performed after his son, who is abroad, comes to Nepal.
