Police have made public a group of people arrested for their alleged involvement in illegal betting and cryptocurrency trading in Nepal. The Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office in Minbhawan arrested five persons involved in trading millions of rupees by illegal online betting. SSP Manoj Kumar KC said that Dinesh Khadka, one of the arrestees, was found to have traded more that Rs 640 million through 1XBET.

Anita Dhital, Dipesh Shrestha, Dinesh Chand and Ashish Lamichhane are also found trading millions of rupees, KC said.

He said that they have also recovered Rs 1.5 million from Lamichhane’s possession. Police said that they are looking into the case.
