An Indian national died of altitude sickness in the Everest region. The deceased has been identified as Suzanne Leopoldina Jesus (59), the District Police Office, Solukhumbu said. DSP Deepak Shrestha of the District Police Office, Solukumbu said that Jesus, who had come to climb Mt Everest, was airlifted to Lukla from the base camp after she fell sick on Wednesday.

She breathed her last during the course of treatment at the Pasang Lhamu Nicole Niquille Hospital at 6 am today, the hospital said.
