RSP President Lamichhane’s driver dies during treatment

Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Rabi Lamichhne’s driver Sambhu Thapa, who was critically injured after falling off a house roof in Chitwan, died on Tuesday. He breathed his last during the course of treatment at the Medicity Hospital in Lalitpur, a hospital source said. Thapa sustained serious injuries after falling off the top floor of Lamichhane’s three-storey house in Bharatpur on April 17 in the run-up to the by-election.

Though Thapa was treated at the College of Medical Science in Bharatpur, he was airlifted to Kathmandu for further treatment on a Nepal Army helicopter on April 18.
