Rastriya Prajatantra Party President Rabi Lamichhane held a meeting with Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal for the first time on Sunday after being re-elected as the lawmaker from Chitwan-2. According to a Baluwatar source, the duo discussed contemporary political issues and the government. On the occasion, Prime Minister Dahal also congratulated Lamichahne for being elected as the lawmaker again.

The Rastriya Swatantra Party has called a meeting of the Central Working Committee and Parliamentary Party meeting for Monday to decide on the government.

It has been learnt that the RSP called the Central Working Committee and Parliamentary Party meeting to choose the Parliamentary Party leader and to discuss the current political situation. The Central Working Committee has been called for 11 am and the Parliamentary Party meeting for 3 pm. Vice-President Dol Prasad Aryal was made the Parliamentary Party leader after Lamichhane lost his lawmaker post over citizenship issue. Aryal resigned from the post of Parliamentary Party leader after Lamichhane was re-elected as the lawmaker.
