By-election: Voting underway peacefully in Bara (With photos)

Voting started peacefully in Bara-2 on Sunday. The Election Commission said that the voting that started at 7 am will continue till 5 pm today. Bara-2 has remained vacant after Ram Sahaya Prasad Yadav was elected to the post of Vice-President.

The constituency has a total of 102, 548 eligible voters. There are 82 polling stations in the constituency.

There are 67 sensitive voting centers out of 137 in the constituency. Upendra Yadav of Janata Samajbadi Party, Shiva Chandra Kushawaha of Janamat Party, Purushottam Paudel of CPN-UML, Ramesh Kharel of Rastriya Swatantra Party, Arun Gyawali of Aam Janata Party among others are in the fray. Among the 34 candidates in Bara, 24 have filed their nominations as independent candidates.
