A writ petition has been filed at the Supreme Court against Rastriya Swatantra Party President Rabi Lamichhhane. Yubaraj Paudel ‘Safal’ on behalf of the Nepali citizen had moved the apex court on Sunday saying that Lamichhane obtained the Nepali passport when he was a US citizen. The hearing has been scheduled for Tuesday.

Paudel has demanded an interim order in the name of the defendant.

Earlier, the Supreme Court had scrapped Lamichhane’s lawmaker post after he was found guilty in the citizenship case.
