Anxiety

Anxiety is a feeling of nervousness, such as fear or discomfort that can be severe. Almost everyone has faced anxiety at some point in their life. For example: you may feel apprehensive during exams, and so on. Anxiety is a common emotion. However, when a person regularly feels unbalanced levels of anxiety, it might become a medical disorder. Anxiety disorders are situations in which you have anxiety that does not go away and can get worse over time.  There are many causes of anxiety. Environmental pressure can be a few, family issues, conflict in relationships, difficulties at work, and so forth. Brain chemistry is also one cause as psychologists describe many anxiety disorders as misalignments of hormones and electrical signals in the brain. People who encounter anxiety disorder may face a variety of different signs and symptoms such as racing heart, stomach or digestion issues, shaking, sweating, nausea, shortness of breath, feeling tired or weak, headaches, and so on. People also may face difficulty in sleeping, difficulty in focusing and doing daily activities. They avoid social interaction in order to get rid of anxiety and imagine the most unpleasant-case scenarios.

There are various exercises and activities to help a person cope with calmer, more focused, or shorter-term anxiety disorders which includes relaxation techniques: simple activities can help calm the mental and physical signs of anxiety. These techniques include meditation, yoga, deep breathing exercises, and so on; support network: communicate with people who are encouraging, such as a family member or friend. Exercise: physical energy can improve self-reflection and discharge chemicals in the brain that trigger positive emotions.  Stress management: Learning to cope with stress can help control potential triggers. Organize any impending stresses and deadlines, collect lists to make frightening tasks more manageable and so forth.

There’re many ways to prevent anxiety emotions such as by reducing the intake of caffeine, tea, and chocolate; by visiting psychotherapists; by maintaining a healthy diet and self-care ; by meditating; keeping a regular sleep pattern; by avoiding alcohol, and prescribed drugs and so on. Additionally, the school can consider organizing stress management sessions within the school premises. This is particularly important considering the increasing number of cases of anxiety and stress among school-going children in our society. Anxiety is a natural human emotion that is highly personal and subjective to each individual. It is a complex feeling that plays a central role in human behavior and personality.
