Rastriya Prajatantra Party General Secretary Dhawal Shumsher Rana has won the election to the House of Representatives from Banke-2. According to the Election Commission, he emerged victorious by securing 27, 577 votes. He defeated Mohammad Istiyak Raye of Janata Samajbadi Party Nepal with a margin of 6, 057 votes. Raye garnered 23, 520 votes.

Banke is considered as the stronghold of the Nepali Congress. However, Nepali Congress candidate Sudeep Nursingh Rana obtained just 4, 403 votes.
