Independent candidate Sabita Gautam wins in Kathmandu-2 with a margin of 3, 674 votes

Independent candidate Sobita Gautam has emerged victorious in Kathmandu-2. She won the election by defeating Maniram Phuyal of the CPN-UML with a margin of 3, 674 votes. According to the Election Commission, Gautam garnered 15, 229 votes while her closest contender Phuyal secured 11, 555 votes.

Rastriya Prajatantra Party’s Kunti Devi got 11, 014 votes.

A common candidate of the alliance, Onsari Gharti Magar of the CPN (Maoist Center) obtained 9, 449 votes.
