Krishna Gopal Shrestha of the CPN-UML has been elected as a member of the House of Representatives from Kathmandu-9. He secured 11, 956 votes to emerge victorious. Shrestha’s closest contender Tek Bahadur Pokharel of Rastriya Swatantar Party garnered 10, 961 votes. Similarly, Kalpana Dhamala of the CPN (Maoist Center) got 6, 402 votes.
