Three persons including an assistant election officer were injured when a clash broke out at the voting center in Unapani-based Devkota Primary School of Sarkegand Rural Municipality-3, Humla. The injured have been identified as assistant election officer Prem Bhandari and two temporary personnel, DSP Krishna Raj Ojha said. He said that police fired 17 rounds of bullets into the air to take the situation under control.

The clash broke out between the cadres of the ruling alliance and independent candidates at around 8 am today.

DSP Ojha said that some ballot papers were also torn during the clash.
