A man died after a car bearing an Indian registration number plate hit a motorbike he was riding on at Gothgaun in Sundarharaicha Municipality-7, Morang district on Saturday. Police identified the deceased as Uttam Kumar Magar (42) of Kerabari Rural Municipality-7, Morang. The car (BR 38 N 2202) heading towards west from east hit the two-wheeler (Ko 31 Pa 7266) coming from the opposite direction at around 9:30 pm yesterday.

Incapacitated in the incident, Magar breathed his last during the course of treatment at the community hospital in Itahar at around 10 :30 pm, Inspector Raj Kumar Karki, Chief at the Morang Traffic Police, said.

Police said that they have impounded the car and detained its driver Rabi Kumar Das (25) of Arariya Bela, India for investigation.
