RPP unveils election manifesto, floats proposal to dismiss provincial system

The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has floated a proposal to dismiss the provincial system. Unveiling the election manifesto amidst a program in the Capital on Monday, the RPP has put forward a proposal to dismiss the provincial system and form a strong central and local governments. RPP Chairman Rajendra Lingden said that the need of the hour is the monarchy as a parental institution and a directly elected executive prime minister.

He said that his party’s agenda is the two-tiers of government with a fully proportional parliament and a strong local level.

Similarly, the party in its manifesto said that a person cannot hold an executive position like party president or prime minister for more than two terms.
