Sarlahi cooperative head shot at in broad daylight, robbers fled with empty bag

A group of robbers opened fire at the head of the Sagun Savings and Loan Co-operative Limited of Milanchowk in Bagmati Municipality-1, Sarlahi. Sajan Karki (30) of Jutpani, Lalbandi Municipality-2 was injured in the firing. The looters fired four rounds of bullets while Karki was working at the office.

The robbers, who came in a group of three, entered the office and threatened Karki to give them money, but Karki retaliated.

The group of robbers opened fire soon after Karki started retaliating against them. Police said that Karki sustained bullet injuries on various parts of his body. Following the incident, the trio fled the scene by riding on a motorbike bearing an Indian registration number plate. Karki has been taken to Kathmandu after primary treatment in Hariban. The robbers decamped with an empty bag of Karki. The District Police Office, Sarlahi said that they are searching for the persons involved in the incident.
