Two persons died and two others including a child sustained injuries when the motorbikes they were riding on collided with each other at Birtamod Municipality on Monday. DSP Basanta Pathak of the District Police Office, Jhapa said that the motorbikes (Ma 5 Pa 1604 and Ma 3 Pa 5580) collided head-on at Beldangi in Birtamod Municipality-2 yesterday evening. The deceased have been identified as Anis Sauden (25) of Bahradashi-2 and Bholaraj Bhujel (43) of Bahradashi-6.

DSP Pathak said that Chandrakala Bhujel (42) and her nine-year-old daughter Prasanna were injured in the incident.

Critically injured in the accident, both the riders were rushed to the B and C Hospital where they breathed their last during the course of treatment. Meanwhile, the injured mother and daughter are undergoing treatment at the Birta Hospital in Birtamod. Police said that they are looking into the case.
