Nepali Congress leader Krishna Prasad Sitaula has filed his nomination for the election to the House of Representatives. He filed his nomination from Jhapa-3. Mohan Maharjan proposed his nomination while Ganesh Pokharel seconded the proposal.

His contender is Rastriya Prajatantra Party Chairman Rajendra Lingden.
