CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli filed his nomination from Jhapa-5 on Sunday. Romnath Oli proposed Oli’s nomination while Deepal Karki seconded the proposal. In the previous election, he was elected as a member of the House of Representatives by acquiring 57, 139 votes.

His closest contender Dr. Khagendra Adhikrai had garnered 28, 257 votes.

Adhikari has become the candidate from the ruling coalition this time also.
