Death toll in Amlekhgunj bus accident has reached 12.  According to the District Police Office, Makwanpur, 10 people died on the spot and two breathed their last during the course of treatment at at Hetauda Hospital when a bus they were traveling in met with an accident at the border of Makwanpur and Bara. The identities of the deceased have not been ascertained yet.

Police said that the bus (Bagmati Province 006-00 Kha 0210) was heading towards Birgunj from Narayangarh when the tragedy occurred.

Police said that 35 people were injured in the incident. of them 15 are in critical condition. They are being treated at District Hospital in Hetayda, Sancho Hospital and Chure Hills Hospital.
