Around 15,000 goats have been sacrificed at the Rajdevi temple in Janakpurdham. This year, 14,941 goats were sacrificed there. The sacrifice started from 8:41 PM on Monday night and continued till 3:53 AM on Tuesday morning. Thousands of devotees had lined up since early morning on Monday for the event.  This time four temporary spaces were kept for the goat sacrifice. Volunteers were recruited in groups of 10 for each location. 24 goats were sacrificed per minute, six in one place.

Five hundred volunteers were mobilized to organize the sacrifice program. 

Earlier, 14,366 goats were sacrificed in Rajdevi temple in 2021. Similarly 8,968 in 2020, 14,997 in 2019 and 2018, 12,307 in 2017, 14,617 in 2016, 13,801 in 2015, 14,722 in 2014 and 14,861 goats in 2013 were sacrificed.
