During this year’s Dashain, there is a possibility of heavy rain in different places of four different provinces of the country. According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, there is a possibility of heavy rain in a few places of Lumbini, Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces on the day of Vijaya Dashami. The weather forecast division of the department has given this information while publishing a special monsoon bulletin for Dashain on Friday.

According to the department, although the monsoon in Nepal was expected to leave on October 2, it will delay for a few days.

Next Tuesday in Navami, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning at some places in Province 1, Madhes, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces and few places in the remaining provinces. On the day of Vijaya Dashami on Wednesday, the department said that there will be normal to completely cloudy weather with light to moderate rain with thundershowers at many places in the country and heavy rain at few places in Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces. During these days, there is a risk of landslides in the mountainous areas of the country, the water level in large and small rivers and streams may rise and road and air transport may be affected. The department hence has requested to take necessary precautions and advance preparations.
