Tension ran high in Gajuri after a bus killed a student at Gajuri Bazaar in Gajuri Rural Municipality-1 of Dhading on Thursday. Bijaya Pariyar (6) died on the spot after the bus (Ga 1 Kha 4565) heading towards Gorkha from Kathmandu hit him this afternoon. DSP Rakesh Singh of the District Police Office, Dhading, the bus hit Pariyar, a student at the Adarsha Secondary School, Gajuri, while he was heading towards the school.

Following the incident, locals torched the bus.

The irate kith and kin of the child also obstructed the Prithvi Highway. Police said that they are holding a discussion with the locals and relatives of the child to open the highway. Further investigation into the incident is underway, police said.
