The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has removed the unauthorized pharmacies in front of the Bir Hospital. The KMC had directed them to remove the pharmacies and vacate the structures within 24 hours. According to the metropolis, there is a garden on the map where pharmacies were being operated.

The Metropolitan City swung into action after the officials found pharmacies instead of a garden in the area.

The KMC has intensified the campaign to demolish the illegal structures.
