A man died when a tipper hit a motorbike he was riding on in Sundarharaicha Municipality-4 of Morang district on Sunday. Morang Traffic Police Chief Inspector Raj Kumar Karki said that the deceased has been identified as motorbike rider Kumar Rai (29) of Sundarharaicha-4. He said that the tipper (Province 1- o2—001 Kha 8332) heading towards east from west hit the two-wheeler (Ko 38 Pa 5950) coming from the opposition direction at around 1: 30 pm today.

Critically injured in the incident, Rai was initially taken a community hospital for treatment.

After he could not be treated at the hospital, he was taken to the Dharan-based BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences where he breathed his last during the course of treatment at around 2: 15 pm, Karki said. Police said that they have been taken tipper driver Raj Kumar Chaudhary (37) of Itahari Sub-Metropolitan City-1, Sunsari for investigation.
