Police on Tuesday arrested an Indian national for attempting to rape a woman from Jahada of Morang. DSP Deepak Shrestha, spokesperson at the District Police Office, Morang, said that Mohammad Hajam (23) of Arariya, India was apprehended for trying to rape a 25-year-old woman of Jahada Rural Municipality-5. According to a preliminary investigation, Hajam tried to rape the woman when she was alone in the house.

She shouted for help when Hajam tried to rape her.

DSP Shrestha said that the Indian national was arrested following a complaint lodged by the family members. Further investigation into the incident is underway, police said.
