Chinese Communist Party International Liaison Department head Liu Jianchao, who is on a visit to Nepal, invited Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba to attend the 20th congress (convention) of the party in November.
The Chinese Communist Party General Secretary and President Xi Jinping has sent Liu as his envoy to Nepal.
During the meeting held in Baluwatar on Sunday afternoon, the Chinese leader conveyed the message of Xi and invited Deuba to participate in the party's congress.
On the occasion, Liu expressed his concern over possible anti-China activities in Nepal.
In response, Prime Minister Deuba said that Nepal would not allow its land to be used against China.
They also discussed bilateral ties between Nepal and China.
