A woman died in a tiger attack in West Chitwan on Tuesday.

The deceased has been identified as Mangali Bote (60) of Bharatpur-23. The big cat attacked her while she had gone to pick asparagus at Ghailaghari Community Forest of Jagatpur this afternoon.

Four persons along with Bote had gone to the forest to pick the asparagus.

The tiger has taken the body towards the jungle, it has been learnt.

DSP Naraharu Adhikari of the District Police Office, Chitwan said that Nepal Police and Nepal Army personnel are searching for the body.
