A Nepal Army helicopter deployed to search for the missing Tara Air's Twin Otter aircraft landed in Thasang of Mustang.
It will take around six hours to reach the area where an unusual sound was heard from Thasang.
Though the plane contacted the tower of the Civil Aviation Office in Jomsom at 10: 12 am, it went out of contact since then.
The aircraft had taken off for Jomsom from Pokhara at 9: 55 am.
There were 22 persons including two German nationals, four Indian and 13 Nepali nationals apart from crew members on board the aircraft.
Pilot Prabhakar Ghimire, co-pilot Utsav Pokharel and airhostess Kishmi Thapa were in the plane.
According to the Nepal Civil Aviation Authority, the search operation has been affected due to bad weather.
The District Administration Office, Mustang said that Nepal Army, Armed Police Force and Nepal Police personnel and locals have been deployed to search for the missing plane.
