The results of 570 out of 753 local levels have been made public as of Thursday.

During a regular press conference, the Election Commission said that the counting of votes has been completed in 570 local units and the results have already been made public.

According to EC spokesperson Shalikram Sharma Paudel, 174/174 mayors and deputy mayors and 396/396 chairpersons and vice-chairpersons have been elected so far.

He said that 5, 650 ward chairpersons have been elected.

The Commission said that 5, 653 have been elected as woman members and 5, 556 persons have been elected as Dalit woman members.

Similarly, 1, 295 persons have been elected as ward members. With this, 29, 393 people's representatives have been elected, the EC said.

A total of 35, 221 representatives should be elected in 753 local levels. The vote counting is underway to elect 6, 000 more representatives.
