Sunil Prajapati of Nepal Workers' and Peasants' Party has been elected as the mayor of Bhaktapur Municipality.

Prajapati was elected as the mayor of Bhaktapur for a second term receiving 29,200 votes while his closest contender Ram Prasad Kasula of Nepali Congress garnered 3, 352 votes.

Similarly, Rajani Joshi has been elected as the deputy mayor of Bhaktapur Municipality for the second term.

She secured 29, 695 votes while Ranjana Kharbuja is CPN-UML obtained 2, 784 votes.
