Govinda Kumar Karmacharya and Bhagwati Regmi of Nepali Congress have been elected as the Chief and Deputy Chief of Bhirkot Municipality, Syangja.

Karmacharya defeated his contender Bishwonath Aryal of CPN-UML with 835 votes and Regmi defeated Saraswoti Adhikari with 2, 281 votes.

Karmacharya secured 6, 504 votes while Aryal got 5, 669 votes.

Similarly, Regmi obtained 7, 179 votes while Adhikari received 4, 898 votes.
