The District Administration Office, Kathmandu has banned sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages in Kathmandu from Tuesday in view of the local level elections slated for May 13.
Issuing a notice on Sunday, the DAO said that the sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages will be banned in Kathmandu from Tuesday till the conclusion of the elections.
The administration has also barred the use of vehicles in Kathmandu on the polling day without permission.
