A person died and two other sustained injuries when motorbike they were riding on met with an accident at Tankisinabari in Budhiganga Rural Municipality-2 of Morang district.

The deceased has been identified as bike (Ko 17 Pa 7672) rider Anish Karki (22) of Khanar, Itahari Sub-Metropolitan City-12, Sunsari.

DSP Deepak Shrestha, spokesperson at the District Police Office, said that the incident occurred at around 9:30 pm yesterday.

Critically injured in the incident, Karki breathed his last during the course of treatment at the Budhiganga Rural Municipality-based Birat Teaching Hoapital at around 10 pm, police said.

Suman Rajbansi (21) of Jahada Rural Municipality and Ronish Dahal (18) of Biratnagar, who were injured in the incident, are receiving treatment at the Birat Teaching Hospital.

Police said that they are looking into the case.
