Nepal recorded 12,800 new Covid-19 cases and eight deaths on Tuesday.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 18,103 swab samples were tested in the RT-PCR method, of which 9,432 returned positive. Likewise, 7,806 people underwent antigen tests, of which 2,576 tested positive.
The Ministry said that 3,040 infected people recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours.
As of today, there are 88,934 active cases in the country. Of them, 245 are in intensive care units and 44 on ventilators.
With the addition, the total number of infected people in the country has reached 1,045,634 while the death toll climbed to 11,667. Likewise, 827,279 people have achieved recovery so far.
The Ministry said that 86,117 people are staying in home isolation while 1, 817 are in institutionalized isolation.
