The eighth edition of the Annapurna Post Corporate Badminton organized by the Annapurna Media Network concluded amidst a special function on Saturday.
A three-day event was organized at the covered hall of the Nepal Army Physical Training and Sports Center in Lagankhel, Lalitpur.
During the program, Annapurna Network Chairman Rameshwor Thapa welcomed the guests by giving flowers and plants.
Addressing the concluding ceremony, Nepal Bankers’ Association President Anil Kumar Upadhyay said that the Annapurna Corporate Badminton has made a different impression in the corporate sector.
“Not only in Nepal, this tournament has become successful in making an identity abroad also,” he said, adding, “The campaign against climate change started by the Annapurna has sent a different message in the world.”
“We also need to learn from Chairman Rameshwar Thapa, who has contributed to the society and the nation from various fields,” Chairman Upadhyay said.
On the occasion, Nepal Badminton Association Chairman Ramji Bahadur Shrestha expressed his happiness for making the tournament successful in this critical situation.
Giving a welcome speech at the program, Editor of Annapurna Post Akhanda Bhandari said that the Annapurna Media Network has started a campaign of building a healthy nation.
Meanwhile, Ganesh Rayamajhi of Lumbini General Insurance won the title of Banking/Insurance Men’s single.
Similarly, Bishal Khadka of Bindhyabasini Printing and Press clinched the title of Regular Men’s Single.
Likewise, Bishwas Khadka and Bishwas Nepal grabbed the title of Regular Men’s Doubles.
