Rivals to Apple’s AirPods, the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2, apparently to be known as the Samsung Galaxy Buds Live, are likely to be released in July, according to sources. As the name suggests, the new Live version of the wireless would double as running headphones and try to replicate the soundstage of a live concert.
Details about the Samsung Galaxy Buds Live (or Galaxy Buds 2, as some outlets are calling them) are fairly thin at this stage, but that hasn’t stopped Techradar from collating everything they know so far of the second-generation true wireless earbuds.
The new earbuds will be apparently announced ahead of the company’s Unpacked event expected in August 2020. That’s when the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 will most likely be released as well. Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, Unpacked will apparently be an online-only event, and the timing could change.
Expected price of Samsung Galaxy Buds Live in the international market: $149 / £139 / AU$249
