President Ram Chandra Paudel has prorogued the ongoing sessions of both Houses of the Federal Parliament.

A statement issued by the Office of the President on Thursday mentioned that President Paudel decided to prorogue the session upon the recommendation of the Government of Nepal (Council of Ministers), in accordance with Article 13, Clause (2) of the Constitution of Nepal.

According to Krishna Bahadur Shahi, Spokesperson for the Office of the President, the ongoing sessions of the House of Representatives and the National Assembly have concluded, effective from midnight today.
