A joint Nepali-Chinese team associated with Nepal’s Buffalo Meat Export Project to China delivered relief materials worth Rs 2 million to 300 families affected by floods in Rasuwa district.
The team visited Uttargaya Rural Municipality this week and handed over essential supplies to rural municipality chairman Madhav Prasad Aryal.
The delegation included Navin Kumar Sharma, chairperson of the Animal Slaughter House Entrepreneurs Association; Wu Xiaoda, a representative of the buffalo meat export project; and Chinese travel writer and blogger Yee Liang, among others.
Receiving the relief supplies, Aryal expressed gratitude towards the project team and hoped for the long term support in rehabilitation and recovery.
“Hundreds of families have been displaced. We need to build back, and for that the Chinese support is very important,” he said.
In response, the Chinese team shared commitment to be a helping hand on the long-term recovery process.
