Four alternative roads have been temporarily designated to make transportation easier from the Dhading district headquarters to various destinations after the unimaginable flood in the Trishuli and the Bhotekoshi rivers on the morning of August 26 damaged roads and several bridges in the district.
Among these routes, the Dhadhingbesi–Sunaulabazar–Bhorle, Laskare–Koshikhola–Forsetar–Kalleritar toads have been reported as effective. Out of the total 36 kilometers, some parts of the road are paved, some are under improvement, and in some places immediate leveling and putting a Bailey bridge over Koshikhola is necessary.
MP Bodh Narayan Shrestha had also conducted an on-site inspection of the condition of this road.
In a meeting of the District Transport Management Committee held on Monday under the chairmanship of Chief District Officer and the Committee Chair, Laxmi Pandey (Gautam), it was decided to operate the transport services through alternative routes.
Along with this road, the committee has designated the road leading towards Chitwan and Pokhara through Dhadingbeshi–Bhulbhule–Patle–Fyakse–Syaldanda–Dandagau–Koshikhola–Phorsetar, Parewatar–Adamtar–Belintar–Mastaar, as well as Dhadingbesi–Taribensi–Salyantar–Arughat–Gorkhabazar–Ambukhaireni as the temporary route.
The meeting also assigned the related government office the responsibility of upgrading and emergency repair to make those roads immediately operational.
The responsibility for the Dhadhingbesi–Sunaula Bazaar–Bhorle, Laskare–Koshi Khola–Forsetar–Kalleri Tar road has been assigned to the Dhadhing Infrastructure Development Office.
The road improvement and emergency repairs for the Parewatar–Pipaltar–Adamtar–Belintar–Maastar road will be handled by the Road Division Nuwakot.
It has been decided that the Intensive Urban and Building Construction Project Office will carry out the upgrading and emergency repair of the Dhadingbesi–Bhulbhule–Patle–Phyakse–Syaldanda–Dandagau–Koshi Khola–Forsetar road as soon as possible.
The committee decided to use alternative roads to keep transportation services regular and smooth after the road and bridges connecting Dhadingbesi to the Prithvi Highway were damaged by the flood.
